Anna Hart, MS, SRM, is Principal of ARHart Consulting LLC. Her work in the Life Insurance industry over the past ten years focuses on Life Settlements and on Medical Technology. Prior to starting her consulting business she worked in life companies involved in brokerage, including 11 years with a world class Reinsurer. Client work includes audits, due diligence, and process reviews and validation, as well as general development in the Life Settlement market.
Within the Life Insurance market, her work has centered on risk assessment, underwriting requirement analysis, and development. Other related involvement includes expert witness work for wrongful death/medical malpractice. Anna Hart holds an advanced degree in gerontology, and many of her past projects have focused on the older-age market. Professional activities include SOA industry committees, the ILEC, Survey Committee, and the MMLC. Ms Hart is a frequent industry speaker at actuarial and underwriting meetings. She resides at her ranch between Fort Worth and Abilene, Texas.
Rick Bergstrom, FSA, MAAA, is Principal & Consulting Actuary for Bergstrom Consulting, LLC, a firm he established in 2007 upon retiring from Milliman after almost 24 years as a senior life consultant. Mr. Bergstrom works closely with clients: designing life insurance products; analyzing general pricing and risk assessment issues; helping determine appropriate underwriting requirements for achieving required mortality levels; creating mortality assumptions pertinent to various risk classes; calculating life expectancies for impaired risk individuals; and quantifying the protective value of various underwriting tests/requirements. Bergstrom Consulting, LLC is a member of LISA.
In addition to client work, Rick is a frequent speaker at Society of Actuaries seminars and industry underwriting meetings. He is also the Chairman of SOA's Individual Life Experience Committee and the Committee on Surveys. Bergstrom is a long-standing member of the Mortality and Morbidity Liaison Committee (MMLC), a group of actuaries, underwriters, and medical directors that studies the excess mortality associated with impaired lives.
Larry Warnock, FSA, MAAA, is President of Value Life Corporation, a specialty actuarial firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Warnock has over thirty years experience with major consulting firms including Tillinghast (now TowersWatson), KPMG, and Milliman. His Actuarial experience reflects a career-long focus on Life Insurance products and their valuation. In recent years, Larry has developed a number of techniques for improving and automating calculations in both the Insurance Industry and the Life Settlement marketplace.
